Faculty-staff workshops on curriculum scheduled

Four more curriculum workshops this month are scheduled to help faculty and others grasp principles, provisions, course criteria and outcomes.
This workshop, offered by the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs, is designed to respond to attendees' questions as well as cover essential information. The topics include 120-credit legislation, Purdue foundational core outcomes, statewide transferable general education core curriculum, and designing curricula to enhance mobility/preparation/exploration in the first year as recommended by the Foundations of Excellence report, says Dale Whittaker, vice provost for undergraduate academic affairs.

* Oct. 15 (today) -- 1-2 p.m. Mechanical Engineering Building (ME), Room 1015
* Oct. 17 (W) -- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Agricultural and Biological Engineering Building (ABE), Room 205
* Oct. 18 (Th) -- 11 a.m.-noon. Agricultural and Biological Engineering Building (ABE), Room 205
* Oct. 23 (Tu) -- 3-4 p.m. Hampton Hall (HAMP); formerly Civil Engineering or CE), Room 2118
