BTN showing charitable work by ex-tackle Light, others

October 24, 2011

Former Purdue offensive tackle Matt Light, now playing pro football for the New England Patriots, is the subject of an off-the-field profile to show at 7:30 p.m. ET today (Oct. 24) on the Big Ten Network.

The program is one of eight "BTN LiveBIG" installments on BTN on Mondays in October and November, each featuring two or three Big Ten figures and their work contributing to their communities or the larger world. The segment on Light will describe the efforts of the Matt Light Foundation.

Of the 22 profiles in all, another is on a Purdue figure, Kyle Adams, a 2010 graduate and football star. That segment, which follows Adams to Haiti, first aired Oct. 3. Both Purdue-related profiles and others that have aired are online at www.btnlivebig.com; pull down the Video tab.
