Schwartz Tennis Center now offering memberships

The Schwartz Tennis Center is now a membership facility, effective Tuesday  (June 21). The tennis center will remain open and available to nonmembers; however, nonmembers playing after Sept. 1 will be subject to a guest fee.
  
Highlights for members include:
* Free unlimited randomly reserved indoor court time from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
* Free unlimited randomly reserved outdoor courts year-round.
* Free unlimited non-primetime walk-on court time year-round.
* Opportunity to reserve courts on a permanent basis.
* Opportunity to reserve courts six days in advance instead of four days in advance for nonmembers.
* Priority sign-up for programs, clinics and drills.
  
Annual membership fees are:
* Faculty and staff: Individual, $236; family, $356, student/youth (any full-time student age 22 or under not attending Purdue), $76.
* John Purdue Club: Individual, $236; family, $356, student/youth, $76.
* Community: Individual, $295; family, $445, student/youth, $95.
* Senior (age 65 and over): Individual, $236; family, $356.
  
Nonmembers must pay a guest fee plus court fees each time they play. Guest fees per person are faculty and staff, $4 (including spouse or children); John Purdue Club, $4 (including spouse or children); community, $5; senior, $4.
  
Nonmember faculty and staff receive free outdoor walk-on court time with no guest fee. Purdue students do not need to pay a membership fee or guest fee.

In addition, Schwartz Tennis Center is offering charter memberships. Those who join by July 5 will secure their membership rates until Sept. 1, 2016. Charter members' first renewal date will be extended to Sept. 1, 2012, which results in two months of free membership.
