Food and nutrition program needs adult volunteers

September 3, 2010

Adults who are 30 years old or older are needed to participate in a practicum course for senior students in the Department of Foods and Nutrition.

Students in F&N 415 are majoring in nutrition, fitness and health. Each student is assigned to an interested adult and is to help that person achieve his or her nutrition and fitness-related goals. This is done through detailed fitness and nutrition assessments, individualized nutrition and exercise programs, and one-on-one nutrition and exercise counseling sessions.

All client/student interactions are supervised by Rachel Clark, who is a registered dietitian and board certified sports nutritionist.

Sessions are scheduled to begin soon and will continue about once each week throughout the semester. Any interested adult should contact Clark at RachelClark@purdue.edu.
