University Residences seeks faculty fellows to connect with students

July 26, 2012

University Residences' Faculty Fellow Program is looking for an additional 15 to 20 faculty or staff participants to dine and interact with students in the coming academic year.

Any administrative, salary-exempt faculty or staff member is eligible to apply. The program allows fellows to participate informally in weekly dinners at residence hall dining courts as well as in other student life events. Fellows typically are assigned to a residence hall at the beginning of each academic year.

The program's capacity has increased to ensure a one-to-one ratio of faculty fellows and resident assistants (RAs) is maintained, hence the need for more fellows, says Susan Melson Huffman, assistant director of on-campus housing and the program's coordinator.

Applicants who wish to be considered for a fall assignment should apply by Aug. 3.
