NUTRITION AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

Webinar: Live Long and Prosper on the Mediterranean Diet
May 18. 12:10-12:50 p.m. 
The Mediterranean diet is an eating pattern that has yielded long, healthy lives for many people in countries such as Greece and Italy. Discover the advantages of applying this dietary pattern to your own life, and learn how to enjoy the many flavors and textures of these natural foods while optimizing your health at the same time. STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stretching/Low-Impact Aerobics
May 9. 12:10-12:50 p.m. Stewart Center, Room 302.
Low-impact aerobic exercise consists of rhythmic movements involving large muscle groups. In this exercise, at least one foot is in constant contact with the floor, which makes it easy to do without putting much strain on the tissues. Following the aerobic section, participants will be taken through a series of stretches to enhance flexibility. Please wear tennis shoes and bring a yoga mat, beach towel, or blanket.

Organization and Time Management

If you're like most people, you'd love to have more hours in the day. While it's impossible to create more time, you can learn to waste less time, be more productive and get organized.

Concentrative Meditation
May 16. 12:10-12:50 p.m. Stewart Center, Room 202.
Come learn skills to help you meditate at home and separate yourself from your stress. Participants will learn about concentrative meditation and practice applications in this interactive session.

Transitioning Careers in Mid-life

Need a change without giving up work entirely? Examine the realm of career choices while postponing full retirement.

Webinar: Men: Do You Need a Health Tune-Up?
May 24. 12:10-12:50 p.m. 
Men are notorious for skimping on self-care. But "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" really doesn't work when it comes to your health. Information on checkups for men, cancer prevention, and overall wellness will be discussed. Webinar URL provided upon registration.

TOBACCO CESSATION

Quit Smart
June 5-July 19 (6-session program). 8:30-10 a.m. State Street Office Facility (SSOF), 1601 W. State St.
Quit Smart combines powerful treatments to help participants break free from tobacco. Participants attending this class will learn to ease off nicotine, use their mind to help, use a hypnosis CD, and decide whether to use medication to break the habit.

Understanding Alzheimer's

What to expect if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with the condition.
