Nominations sought for Web Accessibility Awards

April 10, 2012

The Office of Institutional Equity is seeking nominations for the 2012 Web Accessibility Awards.

Purdue's Web Accessibility Awards were initiated in 2011 as a way to recognize colleges, schools, departments, programs, and units that have made great strides in meeting or exceeding the University's standards for accessible Web design while demonstrating excellence in design and communication.

This award of $1,000 will be given to two winners each year during the four-year implementation of Purdue's Web Accessibility Policy. Award recipients must use the monetary award to further their efforts in the area of accessible Web design. The awards are sponsored by a grant from Google and the Office of the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance.

To submit a nomination for the 2012 Web Accessibility Awards, complete and return the nomination form and attachments by April 30 to Marcy Hintzman, Office of Institutional Equity, YONG. The nomination form is available as a PDF file at www.purdue.edu/ethics/oie/documents/2012WebAccessibilityNominationForm.pdf.
