CIE workshop to focus on seminar techniques

A Center for Instructional Excellence workshop will offer tips on how to present a successful seminar.

"Techniques for Giving a Great Seminar" will be held 9-10:30 a.m. Feb. 16 in Stewart Center, Room 310.  The workshop leader will be J. Paul Robinson, the SVM Professor of Cytomics in the College of Veterinary Medicine and professor of biomedical engineering.

Robinson will explain how to connect with an audience, the secrets of a good delivery, how to avoid the most common PowerPoint mistakes, and how to open and close a presentation. Robinson also will demonstrate how to answer challenging questions in a professional and positive manner.
