WorkLife Programs offering arthritis education class

January 23, 2012

Those suffering from arthritis -- or interested in preventing it -- have an opportunity to attend an interactive learning session Tuesday (Jan. 24). Understanding Arthritis will be facilitated by local physical therapist Randous Bowens.

Understanding Arthritis will be held 4:10-4:50 p.m. in Stewart Center, Room 313.

In this interactive class, Bowens will shed light on the causes, prevention and treatment of both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Bowens also will demonstrate movements to help prevent osteoarthritis in particular, and then encourage participants to stand up and try them out. Bring individual questions to discuss with the group, and come prepared to learn how to prevent this inflammatory disease affecting the lives of people of all ages.
