Reduced hours for campus facilities over winter break

Campus services and offices are scheduling reduced hours of operation during winter break at Purdue Memorial Union, Purdue University Libraries and the Recreational Sports Center.

Dec. 23, 26, 30 and Jan. 2 are University holidays, when nearly all operations will be closed.

Campus libraries will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 19-22 and Jan. 3-6. On Dec. 27-29, the following libraries will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Siegesmund Engineering Library; Veterinary Medical Library; Hicks Undergraduate Library; Hicks Repository; Circulation Services; and Digital Learning Collaboratory. All locations will be closed Dec. 18, Dec. 23-26, Dec. 30-Jan. 2, and Jan. 7-8. Winter break hours are summarized at www.lib.purdue.edu/libraries/hours/201112/WinterBreakhours201112.html.

The Recreational Sports Center transitional locations at Owen, Tarkington and Wiley halls; Turf Recreation Exercise Center (TREC); and Boilermaker Aquatic Center will use a reduced schedule through Jan. 7. The centers will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1. The aquatic center will be closed Dec. 30 due to a swim meet. Standard hours will resume Sunday, Jan. 8. Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center will maintain nearly all standard building hours until closing at 5 p.m. Dec. 22. They will be closed Dec. 23-26. All will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 27. Stewart Center will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 29 and reopen Jan. 3. The Union will close at 11 p.m. Dec. 29 and reopen Jan. 3. The Union Club Hotel will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 22 and remain closed until 6 a.m. on Dec. 27.
