CoursEval now available to students through mobile devices

In response to requests from instructors and in an effort to increase student participation and response rates, Purdue's summative course evaluations system, CoursEval, will now be accessible from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Students may log on to the evaluation site,, and complete surveys from their mobile devices.

Instructors wanting to allot class time for evaluation completion can do so if students have appropriate mobile devices.

Increasing student response rates to end-of-semester CoursEval is an ongoing goal for many Purdue instructors. Higher response rates increase both reliability and validity of results and improve the utility to instructors and departments.

Instructors should keep in mind that best practices and University Senate guidelines require confidentiality of student responses. Therefore, instructor presence in the classroom is discouraged at any time whenever and in whatever way students are actively completing summative evaluations.
