Human Resources introduces Talent Acquisition Team

October 12, 2011

Human Resources Employment has formed the Talent Acquisition Team, developed to anticipate and meet the needs of hiring supervisors with staff vacancies.

The team has new roles, a new model and a revamped website, located at www.purdue.edu/careers. However, the commitment to customer-focused, proactive service remains the same.

Hiring managers who currently have open positions will continue to work with their current representative through the rest of the hiring process. Afterward, depending on the customer’s needs, they will work with one of the team’s specialists, coordinators or recruiters.

Specialists will be responsible for administrative/professional positions and will also assist with:
* Reviewing resumes.
* Developing interview questions.
* Search committee support.

Coordinators will take care of all non-exempt positions and will also assist with:
* Reviewing resumes.
* Developing interview questions.

Executive recruiters will handle senior-level and mission-critical positions and lend additional expertise by:
* Developing a recruiting plan and a position profile.
* Conducting a compatibility assessment.
* In-depth researching, screening and interviewing of candidates.
* Planning interviews and presenting qualified candidates.
* Serving as hostess during campus interviews.
* Offering dual career assistance.

Satellite HR teams will continue serving the recruitment needs for their customers.
