WorkLife Programs providing financial services, classes to employees

May 16, 2011

Through a partnership between Human Resources WorkLife Programs and Purdue Federal Credit Union, all employees have access to free, confidential credit counseling services.

Employees who have questions about their finances or are struggling with a financial challenge can take advantage of these local resources. Purdue Federal credit counselors can help with balancing accounts, preparing a budget, reviewing your credit report, solving short-term challenges, and planning for future needs.

Informational packets with further details about the services available from Purdue Federal are available in the WorkLife Programs office at Purdue West Shopping Plaza (PWF), 1402 W. State St., and the WorkLife Programs Employee Assistance office at the State Street Office Facility (SSOF), 1601 W. State St.

Since the credit counseling program’s inception in July 2010, nearly 100 employees have picked up informational packets to find out more about services.

Counseling appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and after-hours appointments are available by request. Counseling services are open to all Purdue employees, not just those who are Purdue Federal members.

Regional campus employees may contact WorkLife Programs at 765-494-5461 to request a packet. Telephonic financial counseling is available to those on regional campuses.
