Workshop to provide ideas for integrating the 2011-12 Common Reading selection

The Common Reading Program Committee, in cooperation with the Center for Instructional Excellence, is offering a workshop for faculty, staff and graduate students to generate ideas for integrating the 2011-12 Common Reading selection, Rebecca Skloot’s "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," into next year's courses and programs.
 
The Common Reading Program Course and Curricular Applications Workshop will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 22 in Stewart Center, Room 310. Refreshments will be served.
 
A panel of Purdue faculty and staff will highlight content and key themes to inspire potential uses in a variety of disciplines. The workshop will be facilitated by Karl Brandt, professor emeritus of biochemistry.
