Spring Fling to be held at Memorial Mall
This year's Spring Fling will be held at and around Memorial Mall due to expansion and renovation work at the Recreational Sports Center.
The annual appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees will be on Thursday, May 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will offer many of the same activities as in years past including lunch, car show, fitness walk, DJ, volleyball tournament and yard games.
Several rooms in Stewart Center are reserved for bingo, "steppin" dancing, an information booth and "Purdue's Got Talent," a new talent show activity. Indoor activities that were offered previously through RSC will be unavailable this year.
All unnecessary traffic will be closed off from Memorial Mall during the event. Spring Fling will be canceled only in the case of severe weather. Tents will cover food and beverage lines, and many activities are inside Stewart Center.
