CIE workshop to focus on managing writing assignments in any class

The Center for Instructional Excellence will offer a workshop focused on incorporating writing assignments into classes -- especially non-writing courses -- on Feb. 17.
"But It's Not a Writing Class!: Managing Writing as a Learning Tool in Almost Any Subject" will be offered from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Stewart Center, Room 322.
Josh Boyd, associate professor of communication, will share the techniques he uses in his large communication classes as well as how to grade large numbers of writing assignments efficiently.
