Monthly book club for Purdue employees open to new members

September 7, 2010
The Great Reads in Leadership Book Club for Purdue faculty and staff always welcomes new participants. The group meets twice monthly during the lunch hour in Freehafer Hall to discuss a preselected book on a leadership topic.

The book for September is "Our Iceberg Is Melting" by John Kotter. It is based on pioneering work that shows how eight steps can produce needed change in any sort of group. Meetings are scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 and 29. Loaner copies of "Our Iceberg Is Melting" are available as needed.

Participants must preregister via the Online Training Registration website at https://www2.itap.purdue.edu/bs/Training2.0/login_form.cfm, where they can log in with their Purdue career account and password. Once logged in, select "Training and Development Courses," "All Faculty and Staff," and then scroll down to select the Great Reads in Leadership Book Club session of choice.

Participants may bring their lunch to the meeting.
