Registration still available for class on elder care issues

September 1, 2010

There's still time to sign up for the Adult Children -- Aging Parents class being offered by WorkLife Programs. The class begins Thursday (Sept. 2).

Participants will benefit from expert advice from local attorneys on issues related to elder care, including legal decisions for later life, understanding advanced directives, updates in elder care legislature, and keeping family records.

The class will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 2), Sept. 16 and Sept. 30 at WorkLife Programs (PWF), Purdue West Shopping Plaza, 1402 W. State St.

Parents will always be parents, and children -- even when they are old enough to retire -- are still sons and daughters. In this three-part series, learn how to talk about and plan for changing needs in later life as well as how to strengthen relationships between the generations.
