CIE to offer teaching workshops in May

The Center for Instructional Excellence is offering several teaching workshops in an intensive format in May. These workshops will give participants the chance to enhance their teaching skills, learn about innovative teaching techniques, and network with other instructors on campus about their teaching.

The May Intensives 2010 sessions of College Teaching Workshops, Series I: Basics of Teaching will meet May 24-27. The topics focus on basic teaching techniques such as how to give an effective lecture, how to lead a group discussion, how to avoid grade appeals, and how to prevent cheating.
