This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Jessica Perkins

Huge thank you to Jessica (Enrollment Management) for being flexible and stepping in to cover meetings! I appreciate your kindness and willingness to always do whatever needs to be done. — Katie May (Public Health)

Kristine Marceau, Elizabeth Atha and the HDFS Graduate Curriculum Committee

When access consultants in the Disability Resource Center assist graduate students with accommodation requests, it’s important that we have a solid understanding of the student’s program requirements, timelines, exam logistics and more. Graduate program handbooks are helpful in this area, but I was stunned when I found the graduate program manual and preliminary exam manual for the Department of Human Development and Family Science. Having been a confused graduate student in the past and having read through manuals for a variety of programs in recent years as an access consultant, I’m confident in saying that Elizabeth, Kristine (both Human Development and Family Science) and the HDFS Graduate Curriculum Committee has created an exemplary document. It conveys complex and often stressful information with remarkable clarity and detail. The hard work you all put into this is appreciated! — Jossette Bailey (Disability Resource Center)

Zach Rodimel

As associate director of marketing and communications for the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, Zach has led recruitment and digital strategy efforts across West Lafayette, Indianapolis and our statewide locations, delivering targeted campaigns, managing student workers and serving as our key liaison with admissions and enrollment. Most impressively, Zach has developed an entirely new Purdue Polytechnic website — launching July 2025 — with minimal resources, demonstrating creativity, determination and technical skill. His leadership has elevated our visibility, strengthened our brand and provided much-needed support to our statewide teams. Zach is a true asset and deserves this recognition. — Heather Boswell (Purdue Polytechnic Institute)

Paula Courtney

I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you to Paula (IT End User Experience) for being such a phenomenal partner during our TeamDynamix transition to our new application! She was there every step of the way, hopping on calls anytime, answering questions and making what could have been a challenging experience a super smooth one. Teaching and Learning Technologies is so thankful for a partner like Paula! — Sarah Stearns (Consulting and Training)

Max Dryer

Thanks to Max (Student Success Programs) for upgrading the Winter Session course website accordions! He made everything much easier to update. I appreciate him taking the time to improve the site’s function and efficiency. This will be a huge help moving forward. Thank you! — John Race (Office of Summer and Winter Sessions)

Natasha Lucas

Our thanks to Natasha (Building Services) and her team for their quick response to clean and wax the Multi-Scale Robotics and Automation Lab in FLEX. Great job; thank you! — Dave Cappelleri (Mechanical Engineering)
