Systemwide policy updates

Purdue routinely reviews and updates the university’s systemwide policies and standards. The following changes are now in effect:

  1. Separation Pay (VI.F.1): The list of eligible appointment types in the policy was updated to include executive staff. Exclusions to the policy were updated to clarify that appointments not explicitly included are excluded and that individuals who abandon their jobs are not eligible. A definition of separation pay was added for transparency.
  2. Courtesy Faculty Appointments (S-29): This new standard outlines the eligibility, appointment and renewal process, and privileges associated with these appointments.

Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of these systemwide policies and standards.

Note: Policies and standards do not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
