Upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop focuses on optimizing gut health, overall well-being

Unbeknownst to some, gut health plays an important role in overall health and well-being. That’s why in mid-April the Center for Healthy Living (CHL) is presenting a three-part Healthy Boiler workshop series titled “Gut Check: Optimizing Your Health From the Inside Out.”

“In this gut health series, you’ll learn how your digestive system impacts overall well-being, from immunity to mental health,” said Whitney Soto, lead RN health coach at the CHL who is co-presenting the series with Jessica McKeever, registered dietitian at the CHL. “We’ll explore the role of gut bacteria, common digestive issues, and practical strategies for improving gut health through diet, movement and sustainable lifestyle changes.”

The series takes place virtually with sessions on April 15, April 22 and April 29 from noon to 1 p.m. ET. Those interested in the workshop series should register by April 11 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s homepage. Hover over the “Gut Check: Optimizing Your Health From the Inside Out” square and hit “Submit” to register.

Questions about the workshop series can be directed to the CHL at 765-494-0111.

Healthy Boiler workshops and lifestyle programs are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.
