This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Steven Robinson

Steven (Operations and Maintenance) helped Public Health with a sound-dampening installation. He had no assistance when physically installing the merchandise; he completed this project alone from start to finish. He was so kind and helpful. From our initial correspondence to the completion of the project, he was so easy to work with. I think a lot of our construction guys don’t get a lot of credit for their efforts, and we just want to say thank you, Steven! Great job. — Kristina Pelfree (Public Health)

Operations and Maintenance Evening Zone team

I want to recognize the Evening Zone team for their effort in notifying the Data Governance team in Administrative Operations regarding updates to equipment records and maintenance plans. Scott Bunnell supervises Jerry Culvahouse, crew chief, along with technicians Tanner Ayers, Keith DePoy, Patrick Gilliam, Caleb Nelson, Alex Shaffer and Sam Tesky. Their continual effort has not gone unnoticed and is very much appreciated because correct data helps everyone. — Marty Hitchcock (Administrative Operations — Integrated Analytics)

Todd Bahler

I want to recognize Todd (Operations and Maintenance) and his never-ending efforts to notify the Data Governance team of needed changes to equipment records and plant maintenance plans in SAP. A huge focus for the Date Governance team within the Integrated Analytics group is to have clean, correct data in SAP so decision-makers can use that data accordingly. I appreciate Todd’s efforts in helping us as we strive to maintain good data. — Marty Hitchcock (Administrative Operations — Integrated Analytics)

Physical Facilities team

As a by-product of the construction for the Daniels School of Business, an existing sewer line for the Krannert Building was compromised, necessitating an excavation and replacement in subzero weather. Across the board, the facilities team worked long, cold days and dark nights to allow the building to stay open and return us to full service. The dedication and commitment are greatly appreciated. — Logan Jordan (Department of Management)

Nathan Snodgrass, Khayla Miller, Shannel Whitus and Alison Vierk

I want to give a huge thank-you to Nate, Khayla, Shannel and Alison (all Administrative Services) for all the work they put in helping our Operations and Maintenance team with our reporting needs. They never back down from our challenges, and they always deliver high-quality results that help us with business decisions and moving forward. It is great to be able to work with a team that is so responsive and is always willing to help. Great job, team, and keep up the great work! — Ian Anderson (Operations and Maintenance)

David Ket

David (Building Services) is an exceptional team member who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our spaces are clean and inviting. His dedication to keeping our spaces tidy is unmatched. Even though he’s no longer assigned to our floor in Lambertus and Dudley halls, David still goes above and beyond, stepping in to help whenever there’s a need. His efforts leave a lasting impact — our spaces are never cleaner than after his visits. David’s exceptional work and willingness to lend a hand truly make a difference, and we feel so fortunate to have him as part of our team. Thank you, David! — Nicole Towner (Engineering Education)
