This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Aaron Veach and Isaac Miller

We had an issue with our van lift that needed immediate attention. Aaron (Ground Recharge Operations) and Isaac (Transportation Services) went above and beyond with their communication and got our issue fixed quickly. Thank you so much for your help. — Lagora Carrell (Biomedical Engineering)

EOBOC employees who helped with workload

The Executive Office Business Operations Center (EOBOC) team really stepped up while I was unable to be at work due to illness and made sure I didn’t have a backlog of work to do when I came back. They teamed up and took care of my purchasing cards, my tickets and my customers. It really is great knowing that when you are out sick you are not going to come back with a week’s worth of backlog on top of your current work to do. I just wanted to recognize what a team EOBOC has with those who helped while I was out. Thank you to team members, including but not limited to, Marsha Angstadt, Brittany McGuire, Carlie Cox, Breanna Maxwell, Alisha Mosteller and our ringleader, Megan Stratton (all Finance and Business Operations). You took a lot of stress off my mind, and I’m thankful to work on our team. — Crystal Duncan (Finance and Business Operations)

Ndiep Orock and Melissa Litmer

Ndiep (Purdue Fort Wayne IT) and Melissa (Infrastructure Telecommunications Services) went above and beyond in helping with a student who had a duplicate ID. I thought that we hit a roadblock, but with Melissa’s knowledge, expertise and quick thinking, she came up with a solution that saved the day! And without Ndiep, we would not have been able to complete the task. I truly appreciate that he dropped everything to help us here at PFW. They both definitely deserve a “Thumbs Up.” Thank you for creating a path of least resistance for the student! — Maria Norman (Student Information Systems Support Services)

Robert Dorn

I realized today that I have gone from dreading the use of Cascade for updating our webpages to looking forward to it. I owe this transformation to the brilliant design changes made a couple of years ago by Robert (Purdue IT) on behalf of Global Partnerships and Programs (GPP). Bobby, thank you so much for making Cascade more user-friendly! — Annette Benson (CILMAR)
