Environmental Health and Safety Annual Safety Chair Meeting and safety fair to be Nov. 13
Purdue Environmental Health and Safety will hold its annual Safety Chair Meeting from 8-11 a.m. Nov. 13 in Stewart Center, Room 214. Room 218 will feature a safety fair from 7:30-11:30 a.m. with a variety of vendor displays along with EHS and public safety representatives to answer questions about safety needs.
Departmental safety representatives and building deputies are invited to attend to hear presentations on environmental health and safety issues and compliance updates. Faculty and staff also are welcome to attend any or all sessions.
The Safety Chair Meeting is split into three sessions. The first, at 8 a.m., features an occupational safety theme targeting a nonacademic audience. The second, beginning at 10 a.m., will apply to all audiences. The final session, from 10:15-11 a.m., will have a laboratory theme targeting an academic research audience.
“Our goal with the Safety Chair Meeting is to provide a collaborative space where Purdue’s safety representatives can stay informed on critical issues, share best practices and directly connect with experts who support our safety needs,” said Mita Juristyarini, interim senior director of Environmental Health and Safety. “By empowering our community with the latest resources and compliance updates, we continue to strengthen the foundation of safety across campus.”
The full program agenda is available here. Registration will remain open through Tuesday (Nov. 5) and is required to attend.
