Three members of the Purdue University community — two from the College of Health and Human Sciences at West Lafayette and another from Purdue Northwest — received the 2024 Walk the Talk Award, which is presented annually to those who demonstrate commitment to the principles outlined in the university’s Statement of Integrity and Code of Conduct.

Laura Murray-Kolb, department head and professor of nutrition science in the Department of Nutrition Science, and Kendra Coons-Oborne, senior program coordinator in the college’s Office of Student Services, were honored at a reception hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance.

The Statement of Integrity and Code of Conduct promotes integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, good stewardship and avoidance of impropriety and conflicts of interest.

Each year the Office of the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance reviews and screens nominations, and then selects awardees. The Purdue community is encouraged to nominate a member of the Purdue faculty, staff or student body who demonstrates a commitment to ethics, integrity and compliance for the Walk the Talk Award. Nominations are accepted year-round and may be submitted by completing the nomination form on the Office of the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance’s Walk the Talk webpage.
