Purdue IT Service Management Office: STEM IT would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Kevin Morgan, Paula Courtney and Clara Danao in the Purdue IT Service Management Office for their exceptional service during the transition from our 30-year-old custom ticketing system to TDX. Their expertise with TDX and patience were instrumental in successfully migrating our tickets to TDX in less than two weeks, all while ensuring that 60 staff members quickly adapted to the new ticketing system. — Sundeep Rao (Purdue IT)

James Ausban (Operations and Maintenance): The Purdue University Police Department called me and the Purdue University Fire Department when 10 students were stuck in an elevator on the fourth floor of Harrison Hall. I called James to assist with the recovery of the students because the doors were off track. James’ response time to this emergency was 12 minutes. I am very impressed with James’ quick response in assisting PUFD. James is a great asset to the Operations and Maintenance Elevator Shop and the university. Alexis Smith and all staff in the Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs: Thank you, Alexis Smith and all of the OIGP staff, for all your hard work in making our 15th OIGP Spring Reception last week such a success. This year, we added an academia and industry panel and closing keynote speaker to the event, which made for more planning and a much longer day. Alexis Smith was the main event coordinator for this large event, which included over 80 posters, an awards competition, panels, keynote speakers and sharing of graduate student research. All OIGP staff had some part in helping plan, prepare, execute and wrap up this great event. Zach Wilson, Ernie Pritchett, Jeff Sanders and Rob Barr (all Operations and Maintenance): I would like to recognize and thank Zach Wilson, Ernie Pritchett, Jeff Sanders and Rob Barr for their amazing response time and incredible customer service this week. They responded within minutes to an urgent maintenance request call, and not only fixed the issue within minutes but also came back after the meeting to make sure that the quick fix would be adequate. All of this took place 20 minutes prior to a high-level meeting with critical AV needs. They were able to identify issues we were not even aware of, fix them and make a lasting impression on all those in the room.
