This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Gateway to the Future arch at Purdue University.

“Thumbs Up” gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done. “Thumbs Up” submissions may be made online.

Amanda Limiac

Amanda Limiac (Agricultural and Biological Engineering): Thanks to Mandy for setting up the quiet week tree decorating and cookies event and the finals week stop for a snack event. Our tree in the main office looked so nice with the handmade ornaments and the popcorn garland. The students really appreciated the break and the snacks. — Yvonne Hardebeck (Agricultural and Biological Engineering)

Karl Hensley

Karl Hensley (Operations and Maintenance): I would like to thank Karl on behalf of Hillenbrand Dining Court. Karl was assigned to a work order that turned into a really tough fix. Karl didn’t give up on the job and saw it through to completion. We can always rely on Karl to keep the dining court running smoothly when our equipment malfunctions. — Eric Coates (Hillenbrand Dining)

Kathy Bryant and Terri Griffin

Kathy Bryant and Terri Griffin (both Operations and Maintenance): Kathy Bryant and Terri Griffin have been pulling double duty as they have moved into their new roles while also supporting the Work Request Center until those clerk positions can be backfilled. They continue to do an excellent job, and their efforts are very much appreciated. — Marty Hitchcock (Operations and Maintenance)

Materials Management Distribution Center staff

Materials Management Distribution Center staff: A huge thank-you to the MMDC staff for helping get the time-sensitive materials that came unexpectedly. We appreciate all you did to get us worked into your very busy schedule. — Susan Hardy (Biomedical Engineering)

Jeramie Crupper, Rob Cramsey and Rob Barr

Jeramie Crupper, Rob Cramsey and Rob Barr (all Operations and Maintenance): Thanks to Zone 3 for helping finish up the last steps of a humidifier installation before we all left for winter break. Because of their help, we didn’t have to come in and fill up water tanks and could enjoy the time off. — Andy Sydelko (Engineering IT)
