Health Equity Summit set for Feb. 29

Dr. Jerome Adams, executive director of Purdue University’s Health Equity Initiatives, Presidential Fellow and Distinguished Professor of Practice in Pharmacy Practice and Public Health, along with the Health Equity Initiatives Team, is pleased to announce the third Health Equity Summit, scheduled for Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s summit will be hosted with Indiana CTSI (Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute), which is a partnership among Indiana’s top research universities aimed at solving the state’s most pressing health challenges.
The summit will feature Dr. Francis S. Collins, senior investigator for the National Human Genome Research Institute and former director of the National Institutes of Health and science advisor to the president of the United States. The summit will also include a poster presentation, hosted and funded by Indiana CTSI.
The event will take place in the North and South Ballrooms of Purdue Memorial Union. All researchers, health care professionals, policymakers and community leaders who are passionate about health equity and public health are invited to attend. Interested individuals from both within and outside the Purdue community are encouraged to participate in this enriching experience.
