Healthy Boiler workshop focuses on tips, exercises to target major muscle groups

On Aug. 31, Lindsay Bloom, health coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, will present a Healthy Boiler workshop focusing on the benefits of foam rolling. The workshop supports the physical health pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program.

“Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release technique used to alleviate muscle pain, help sore muscles and increase blood flow,” Bloom said. “During the workshop, attendees will learn tips and exercises to target all the major muscle groups, which will help them to start feeling better and moving easier.”

The workshop takes place from noon to 1 p.m. ET. Those interested in attending should register by Aug. 30 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. A registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s home page. Hover over the “Foam Rolling 101” square and hit “Submit” to register.
