Five researchers involved in the Falcon 9 Booster Landing Team for SpaceX were honored Tuesday (Sept. 15) in Washington as the inaugural laureates of the Neil Armstrong Space Prize from Purdue University. They were chosen for the Falcon 9 system’s reusability and its impact on humanity.
Michael Nichols, associate teaching professor in the Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts program, investigates how the famous Batman comic books, graphic novels and cinematic adaptations reimagine foundational archetypes in “Batman and the Classics: Echoes of Mythology, Literature and Philosophy in the Comics and Films.” By analyzing key storylines and thematic arcs, the book reveals how modern popular culture continues to adapt and echo classic mythic storytelling.
More than 400 companies and 19,000 students participated in the 2026 Industrial Roundtable career fair Sept. 15-16, which expanded beyond Memorial Mall and across Mitch Daniels Boulevard for the first time.
