Purdue is working to inspire the next generation of thinkers through a hands-on artificial intelligence and computer science professional development workshop with LEGO® Education. Set for July 23, the one-day workshop, titled “Brick by Brick: Bringing AI to the Classroom,” will be led by faculty and staff from the College of Science and LEGO Education facilitators. Registration is open to Indiana STEM educators serving grades 6-8.
“Innovating for Tomorrow: Engineering Technology — Stories from Faculty, Students, and Industry Professionals” highlights the unique perspectives and career paths of female faculty and students to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators. Author Anne Lucietto, an associate professor in Purdue Polytechnic Institute’s School of Engineering Technology, draws on her expertise in engineering education to provide a vital resource for mentors and students alike.
Faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees have until 5 p.m. May 14 to register for the classic vehicle show, fitness walk and golf outing as part of Spring Fling, the annual employee appreciation event set for 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 21 on and around Memorial Mall. All other activities do not require registration.
