Marian University, Purdue University, and The Catholic University of America, in collaboration with healthcare systems and academic partners, announced Tuesday (May 19) a new statewide initiative to expand and strengthen Indiana’s healthcare workforce, expand clinical training opportunities, improve access to care statewide, attract talent, and drive innovation in Indiana and beyond.

On May 7 and 8, Purdue Polytechnic officially dedicated the Bowen School of Construction during ceremonies in West Lafayette and Indianapolis. The events recognized a $10 million investment from the Bowen family designed to expand the college’s construction management programs and fuel workforce development across the state.
Purdue leaders celebrated outstanding faculty members and announced the 2026 winners of the university’s Morrill, Trailblazer and Faculty Mentor awards during the Office of the Provost’s annual Faculty Honors Ceremony and Celebration on May 6. Newly promoted faculty members were also recognized, along with Purdue’s annual research awards recipients and this year’s Murphy Award winners.
Purdue’s annual appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees will kick off at 11:30 a.m. Thursday (May 21). Yard games, a DJ booth, food and ice cream stations, the bloodmobile, and a wellness experience will be set up around Memorial Mall, along with the classic vehicle show. Bingo will be located in Stewart Center, Room 214.
