Since announcing a transformational $250 million partnership in May 2025, Purdue and Eli Lilly and Company have steadily deepened collaboration across campus, launched new interdisciplinary research initiatives and activated the first phase of funding to accelerate pharmaceutical innovation.

Purdue Space Program launches in Indianapolis
Something new is launching in Indianapolis — literally! Purdue Space Program, the student group that has been launching rockets in West Lafayette for more than 25 years, has established a chapter in Indianapolis. It took many “small steps” for these intrepid urban rocketeers to reach their “giant leap.” But in April 2026, they successfully launched their first high-powered rocket, designed and built entirely by students in Indianapolis.

The Purdue University Teaching Academy has announced 11 inductees for 2026 in recognition of their outstanding and scholarly teaching in graduate, undergraduate or engagement programs. Candidates were identified by their individual department or college/school based upon evidence of excellence in teaching, innovation in teaching methodology, teaching-related service, and scholarship in teaching and learning.
