During the recent ASHRAE conference, Thanos Tzempelikos, professor of civil and construction engineering and faculty member in Ray W. Herrick Laboratories, was named an ASHRAE fellow. Tzempelikos was recognized for his research contributions to daylighting control, integration of thermal and lighting systems operation, and indoor environmental quality and comfort.
The Purdue Institute for Cancer Research will host the 18th annual 5K Challenge on April 18 at Purdue’s West Lafayette location. The evening event kicks off at 7:30 p.m., with the race starting at 8 p.m. at Ross-Ade Stadium. A postrace celebration is planned after the finish. Open to runners, walkers, survivors and supporters of all ages, the 5K Challenge brings the Boilermaker community together to advance cancer research at Purdue.
