ReElement Technologies uses Purdue tech in rare earth elements production critical to semiconductor manufacturing, other new-age technologies
Critical rare earth element technologies from Hasler Ventures LLC and Purdue, which were developed in the laboratory of Nien-Hwa Linda Wang, Purdue’s Norman and Jane Li Professor in Chemical Engineering, have enabled ReElement Technologies to develop and construct a much-needed environmentally safer domestic supply chain of critical materials and offer this capability to U.S. producers of both recycled and ore-sourced rare earth metals.

Mary Strickland
Lifelong animal lover pursues PhD to address social-ecological issues
Mary Strickland is a lifelong animal lover. So much so that after gaining a Purdue bachelor’s degree in wildlife and a master’s degree in biology at Georgia Southern, she was motivated to do more to help solve pressing social-ecological problems. Today, she’s moving toward just that, pursuing a PhD in natural resource social science alongside professor Zhao Ma in the College of Agriculture.
