Purdue West Lafayette spring commencement to be shown live on TV, webcast

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The spring commencement ceremonies at Purdue University's West Lafayette campus will be broadcast live for television and Internet audiences.

The ceremonies will take place at the Elliott Hall of Music on May 14, 15 and 16.

The colleges of Agriculture; Consumer and Family Sciences; and Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Sciences will have their commencement at 8 p.m. Friday, May 14. The colleges of Education, and Engineering, and the School of Veterinary Medicine will have their ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15. The Krannert School of Management and College of Technology commencement will take place at 2:30 p.m. the same day. The colleges of Science and Liberal Arts will have their ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 16.

The events will be aired live on Comcast Channel 5 and Boiler TV Channel 13. All speeches will be captioned for the hearing impaired. The ceremonies also will be shown live via webcast at mms://video.dis.purdue.edu/graduation

The link will not become active until 48 hours before the ceremony.

Commencement videos will be available at $30 per DVD. Order forms can be obtained at the Loeb Playhouse Box Office, online at https://www.purdue.edu/registrar/pdf/DVD_Form.pdf or by calling 765-494-3933. Forms may be submitted both before and after the ceremony within two weeks of the event.
