WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Kati Pratt, associate vice president of brand and marketing for Purdue University, has been appointed chief marketing officer for Purdue Global, effective immediately.

In her expanded role, Pratt will lead the Purdue Global marketing team, overseeing brand strategy, marketing, market research and the digital experience, with an emphasis on continued growth in student enrollment. Her work will also include strengthening the synergies between Purdue Global and Purdue University.

Purdue Global is Purdue’s online university for working adults.

“Kati has been an invaluable asset to the team as a brand leader and champion,” said Eva Nodine, Purdue Global’s chief financial officer and chief operations officer. “Together, we are invested in the growth and continued success of Purdue Global.”

For more than five years, Pratt has focused on brand and marketing strategy at Purdue. She led Purdue Global’s rebranding, which launched in April 2023. In early 2020, Pratt led the campuswide launch of Purdue University’s transformed brand platform, “The Next Giant Leap.” When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in March 2020, Pratt and Purdue’s marketing and communications team quickly pivoted, crafting and launching “Protect Purdue” — a campuswide change management marketing campaign — to help create, reinforce and change the attitudes, beliefs and behaviors necessary for safely reopening and preserving active, on-campus operations.

Purdue’s marketing and communications team — of which Pratt, as a brand leader, has been an integral member — has been recognized by several national groups and publications for its work, including contributions to Purdue’s No. 1 ranking among U.S. public universities and Purdue’s placement as No. 9 most recognized university in the world in the 2024-25 Global University Visibility (GUV) rankings. In addition, for the past three years in a row, Purdue has been recognized as the only university on Fast Company’s “Brands That Matter” list.

Prior to her work at Purdue, Pratt held marketing positions in banking, retail, health care and manufacturing. She is passionate about her work at Purdue and Purdue Global.

“The power of education to transform lives is immeasurable. At Purdue Global we are dedicated to helping working adults come back to school and earn their degree,” Pratt said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead our marketing efforts, elevating our impact by making quality education accessible to more adult learners taking the next step toward achieving their dreams.”

Pratt is a graduate of Purdue University’s Brian Lamb School of Communication. She earned her Master of Science in integrated marketing communications at West Virginia University.
