WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —

Purdue Global, Purdue’s online university for working adults, has again received recognition for its commitment to serving military-affiliated students, this time coming in at No. 4 in the top 10 Military Friendly Schools rankings for online schools. In addition, Purdue Global was named a Military Friendly Spouse School.

The ranking by the Military Friendly program recognizes Purdue Global’s continued efforts in creating sustainable and meaningful education paths for the military community. Ratings are determined through the evaluation of public and proprietary data gathered through the organization’s annual survey process. The data-driven survey is available at no cost to thousands of institutions nationwide. Survey topics and questions are reviewed and developed with the assistance of an independent Military Friendly advisory council, which comprises independent subject matter experts and industry partners representing the field of veteran education. Scoring of the surveys is fully automated.

This recognition follows Purdue Global’s ranking as No. 8 overall nationally among primarily online universities in the Military Times’ 2023 Best for Vets rankings.

Purdue Global’s Office of Military Student Relations was established in 2023 to ensure an inclusive, high-quality, compliant experience for military students across key components of their educational journey and serves veterans, active-duty, Guard and Reserve, spouses and dependents. Approximately 10,000 military-related students are enrolled at Purdue Global.

Barbara Kent, director of military student experience and an Army veteran, said the award highlights the success of those who have served in the armed forces and their families.

“We are very proud to receive these designations, which not only reflect the commitment of Purdue Global leadership, faculty and staff to support our military students but also are a celebration and recognition of the unique strengths and social and cultural perspective these students bring to the classroom,” Kent said.
