Purdue trustees approve 2023 operating budget, pharmaceutical institute, first-ever termed deanship and measure to increase student housing

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —

Purdue’s Board of Trustees on Friday (June 10) approved the university’s 2023 operating budget, which includes the largest faculty and staff merit increase in more than 20 years, among several actions:

  • Student affordability, faculty and staff compensation, strategic investments highlight 2023 Purdue budget
  • Trustees approve resolution to acquire West Lafayette housing complex, new on-site clinic contract at Purdue Northwest
  • Gift to Purdue University establishes Institute for Advanced Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals
  • Pharmacy alumna and husband gift $6 million to name Purdue’s first-ever termed deanship
  • Purdue trustees ratify appointments, award posthumous degrees, approve resolutions of appreciation
