Faculty and staff honors:

Christopher Cayari, assistant professor of music in the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, has been named the 2021 Outstanding Emerging Researcher by the Center for Music Education Research at the Suncoast Music Education Research Symposium. Cayari is being recognized for his article “Learning Strategies of Video Game Music Makers: Informal and School-based Learning for Online Publication,” which was published in the International Journal of Music Education. Cayari’s research was partially funded by an ASPIRE Research Enhancement Grant from the College of Liberal Arts.
