Natives Helping Natives

A new philanthropic initiative to provide assistance to Native American families in Indiana and to support efforts in tribal communities.. Join us in the following campaigns:

Turkey Day Food Baskets, partnership with the American Indian Center of Indiana (AICI)

Food baskets will be gifted to Native American families that benefit from AICI services. Donations will be collected at the NAECC or at NAECC sponsored events until Friday, November 14, 2018. Below is the list of non-perishable foods that can be donated:

  • Boxed macaroni or Mac n cheese boxes
  • Velveeta cheese
  • Canned green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, cream of mushroom soup, yams, or chicken broth
  • Corn bread mix
  • Stuffing, box or bag
  • Gravy, jars or packets

Gently Used Childrens Books

Books will be donated to elementary schools on (or bordering) the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and will be gifted to students. Collection boxes are available at the NAECC.

Gloves, Hats, and Scarves

Items will be donated to Native American elderly in assisted living facilities in New Mexico. Collection boxes are available at the NAECC.
