Developed in 1976, MEP Summer Engineering Workshops (SEW) were designed to invite rising 7th - 9th grade students (students having completed 6th-8th grade) to Purdue University for a full week of discovery, engagement, and learning about college and careers in engineering.

Due to COVID-19, the SEW program in 2021 will be virtual.

Our participants are able to take part in activities that expose them to:
  • Academic success strategies
  • Engineering careers and impact
  • An online tutorial system that evaluates their math abilities
  • Engineering design process
  • Social activities will help them make friends from all over the country
  • College prep
  • Life skills
