Are you graduating in May, August, or December of 2022? The LGBTQ Center wants to celebrate your achievement!

Options for Participating in Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation consists of several opportunities to acknowledge the achievements of LGBTQIA+ students.

Students can choose to participate in any or all of these opportunities at no cost:

  • Lavender Graduation Ceremony on May 12, 2022, at 6:00pm in the Shively Club (Ross Ade Stadium)
  • Receive a certificate and a rainbow stole which can be worn during graduation
  • Lavender Graduation 2022 Yearbook

How to Register

Deadline to register as a participant in Lavender Graduation: 11:59pm on Friday, March 18th, 2022.

Use this form to indicate the ways in which you would like to participate in Lavender Graduation 2022.

  • All undergraduate and graduate LGBTQIA+ and ally students graduating in 2022 are eligible to participate.
  • There is no cost to participate in the ceremony or to receive a stole and certificate.
  • You are not required to participate in the ceremony to receive a rainbow stole and certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each graduate can choose to participate in the way that makes them most comfortable. We recognize that outside factors or unique circumstances may prevent a graduate from participating in a public ceremony and/or yearbook. Students can receive certificate and rainbow stole even if they choose not to wear it during the Purdue graduation ceremony.
No. There is no cost associated with participating in Lavender Graduation.
The ceremony is on May 12, 2022, at 6:00pm at the Shively Club in Ross Ade Stadium.

If you would like to receive a stole and certificate without participating in the ceremony, you can select that option on the form.

If you plan to participate in the Lavender Graduation ceremony on May 12, 2022, you will receive a rainbow stole and certificate during the ceremony.

Absolutely! We want students to celebrate their accomplishment in the way that makes them most comfortable.

The Lavender Graduation Yearbook is a digital book we publish annually to acknowledge the accomplishments of the graduating class. Each graduate who wishes to be in the yearbook is individually profiled.
