The Mathematics Education Learning Community (MELC) is designed to bring together students who are planning to be mathematics teachers through academic, professional development, and social activities. The one-credit seminar course is offered in the spring – you will have the opportunity to get to know others who are interested in mathematics teaching and learning and participate in both curricular and extracurricular activities co-planned by students and instructors providing opportunities for learning and engagement. This learning community is just for the spring semester.  Members are encouraged to also participate in the TEACH! Seconday Learning Community during the fall semester to begin to get to know others planning to become middle and high school teachers.
