The Tanzania Learning Community (TLC) is for students who have participated in or are planning to participate in the Maymester in Tanzania study abroad program. As part of the community, you will take EDCI 49000 in preparation for the trip – in this course, we will begin to learn Swahili and all aspects of Tanzania (e.g., history, culture, geography), plan our service projects, and begin to get to know one another. All students are welcome – we live on the Indian Ocean, work in rural Tanzanian schools, and go on a wildlife safari – it’s both an adventure and a service trip!

Please contact Professor Jill Newton for application information.
