The "Creativity and Technology" LC is a collaboration between the Department of English and the Department of Computer Graphics Technology. As Steve Jobs has famously declared: "Technology alone is not enough - it's technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our heart sing." This LC helps students develop approaches to critical thinking well-suited to cultural complexities; strengthen written, visual, and technological literacies for working with diverse media; cultivate creativity through remediation and iteration, while understanding its relationship to professional and digital media production; master theoretical approaches to narrative and storytelling; and nurture empathy and global awareness for diverse cultures and markets.
