2022-2023 Intercultural Learning Officers

2022-2023 Intercultural Learning Officers

Affiliates of International Programs

International Programs' Affiliates are those faculty and staff members across Purdue's WL campus who serve in both official and unofficial roles to facilitate and support the mission of the International Programs Office, the Office of Study Abroad and the Center for Intercultural Mentorship, Assessment and Research.

International Programs Officers

International Programs Officers (IPOs) are study abroad leaders from each of Purdue's colleges/schools. These individuals meet several times every semester with the dean of International Programs and the director of the Office of Programs for Study Abroad to discuss issues related to education abroad. They serve as the key point of contact for study abroad for their respective dean and faculty/staff. IPOs facilitate and approve departmental study abroad programs prior to their submission to the Office of Study Abroad. They also disseminate key information from International Programs to faculty and staff throughout their respective units.

Please contact your school/college IPO to request a link to the online SAIL Grant application. VEIL Grant applicants should also be in contact with their IPO for updates on VEIL and IPG.

Intercultural Learning Officers

Intercultural Learning Officers, or ILOs, are leaders from all of Purdue’s colleges who are committed to fostering intercultural learning in their respective settings. They come together with CILMAR staff several times each semester to share what is happening in their colleges, learn about the most current CILMAR opportunities and developments, offer insights based on the unique perspectives of their units, and gather inspiration and new ideas by connecting with other intercultural leaders on campus. They disseminate information from CILMAR to their colleges and serve as a resource for all things intercultural to the faculty and staff with whom they work.
