Provost’s Teaching and Learning Forum on Friday to address WL final exams, spring prep; another forum Nov 13

Interim Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning Jenna Rickus and a panel of speakers are leading a Teaching and Learning Forum focused on final exams and prepping for the spring semester this Friday afternoon, Nov. 6. The forum, which will include representatives from the Provost’s office, the Office of the Dean of Students, the Center for Instructional Excellence, and Teaching and Learning Technologies, will provide attendees with both guidance and resources for the coming months. The forum, which takes place this Friday, Nov. 6, 1-2 p.m., will include both a panel presentation and time for a question-and-answer session.

This is the first of two upcoming forums from Teaching & Learning this month, and a continuation of the successful series of forums offered over the summer to prepare for the fall semester. The session this Friday is being offered to help faculty and staff prepare for upcoming finals and the spring semester. Topics will include (but are not limited to) ensuring academic integrity, rethinking final exams, student wellness, and resources available from the Innovative Learning Team. The session will be held via WebEx.

The following Friday, a second forum will be offered from 1- 2:30 p.m. that will feature faculty and graduate students from across the university share lessons they’ve learned from this semester. That forum will include both short presentations from panelists and breakout rooms to continue the discussions after the panel concludes. More information on the topic will be available next week.

Registration is available but not required for both forums, and attendance is open to anyone with a Purdue email account. To register or get login information, you can view event information on the ITaP calendar page.

If you are unable to attend the session, it will be recorded and posted here once the video has been captioned.

Purdue is committed to ensuring that all events are accessible. If you need special accommodations for this training session, please email TLT@purdue.edu.
