Associate Director, Non-Credit Programs
Jacob oversees efforts to develop and deliver non-credit and professional development courses and programs, including MOOCs. Before this role, Jacob worked as the Assistant Director of Summer Session and had also previously worked as the Special Assistant to the President at Southern Utah University prior to coming to Purdue in 2015. He has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Southern Utah University, a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University.
Shari has over a decade's experience in the Purdue Online department. She received her degree in hospitality and food management from Ball State University, and in 2015 received her Project Management Professional certification. Before joining the Purdue team, Shari worked as an escrow closing agent and a residential real estate salesperson and spent sixteen years in the hospitality profession. Shari works with graduate degree programs from Health and Human Sciences, Management, Polytechnic, and Engineering.
Lori came to Purdue University in 2007 where she started as an account clerk in the Business Office of Continuing Education and Conferences (CEC). Although the name has changed, Lori is in the same department and is now an account assistant for Purdue Online. She oversees the financials and reporting of the credit programs. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and camping.
Digital Education Programs
Kathy started her Purdue career in 1991 and has served in the College of Agriculture, Air Force ROTC, and the Polytechnic Institute. Currently, Kathy provides support to the executive director and directors in Purdue Online. Kathy is also the CEU (Continuing Education Units) registrar for noncredit programs.
Shannon began working at Purdue in 2003 with Sponsored Programs in the Ag Field office. She then transferred to the business office with Continuing Education and Conferences (CEC) before moving to work with the Continuing Education team in 2010. Shannon is a Program Assistant in Purdue Online and currently works with Credit Self-Supporting Graduate and Undergraduate courses where she works closely with the program administrators and Associate Director. Shannon has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and is a graduate of the 2009 Accelerated Clerical Excellence Program. She was also named ICCE Support Staff Member of the Year in 2016.
Denice began her Purdue career in 1988 as a receptionist/secretary in the Krannert School of Management Dean’s Office. She then transferred to the Krannert Undergraduate Advising office before moving to Purdue Continuing Education in 1995 (now called Purdue Online). She’s been with the department for approximately twenty four years, working with registration/customer service of various graduate degree and certificate programs, and, most recently, Purdue’s non-degree Pest Program.
Online Program Launch Director
Wendy has worked in the Office of the Provost Business office and with the Purdue Research Foundation in the past. Before returning to the Purdue team, Wendy worked in property management assisting students with their housing needs. As a lifelong Boilermaker, she is honored to a part of the Purdue team. When not at work, Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband (who also works at Purdue), their daughter, Kennedy, and Mackey, her Golden Retriever.
Business & Finance Assistant Director
Account Clerk V
Connie started her Purdue career in 2007 in the College of Health and Human Sciences. She transferred to Purdue Extended Campus (Conferences) in 2012. In 2016, Connie transferred to Purdue Online as an Account Clerk V. When not at work, Connie enjoys traveling, ATV racing, and spending time with family and friends.
Lisa started her Purdue career in 1980 with the Purchasing Department. She then transferred to Continuing Education and Conferences (CEC) in 1984 where she has spent the past 30+ years working in a variety of positions before joining Purdue Online in 2015. She received the Bravo and ICCE Support Staff member of the year award in 2017. She oversees the registration process for graduate credit programs.
Associate Director, Undergraduate Online Programs
Jim has a BA from Hanover College and an MA from Ball State University. After several years as a teacher, he joined Purdue in 2004 and has served as an academic advisor, program coordinator, and then led the Learning Communities program. With Purdue Online, Jim oversees Undergraduate Online Programs.
Associate Online Program Launch Director
Kim earned her BS in Agriculture Communication from Purdue University, graduating in 2005. She began her
professional career with Purdue in 2007 as a Conference Coordinator for the Conference Division. Kim
transitioned to a similar role in 2012 as Coordinator for the International Compressor Engineering,
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and High Performance Buildings Conferences hosted by Herrick Labs. Kim
recently joined the Non-Credit team of Purdue Online as a Program Administrator and is happy to
provide support to a variety of programs, such as Agronomy Essentials, Integrated Pest Management and the
Purdue Pharmacy programs. When not at Purdue, Kim enjoys spending time on the farm with her husband and
Cheri’s career at Purdue University began in 2006 in Continuing Education and Conferences (CEC) as a Clerk IV. Over the years she worked her way up to a Clerk V then the Account Assistant for Conferences. In 2015 she was promoted to her current position as Business Manager for Purdue Online. She also oversees fiscal activities for Summer Programming, Center for Instructional Excellence (CIE), and Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She gain knowledge of Purdue as a 2010 graduate of Accelerated Clerical Excellence (ACE) program and also served on the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee (CSSAC) for 2 years.
Joanna’s career at Purdue University began in 2001 when she was hired as a secretary for the Military Family Research Institute. Before coming to Purdue Online at Purdue she obtained experiences working in Human Resources, the Office of Institutional Equity, Business Management and most recently the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life. In addition to her work experiences, she also expanded her knowledge-base at Purdue as a 2009 graduate of the Accelerated Clerical Excellence (ACE) Program and is currently a participant in the Clerical and Administrative Assistant Mentoring Program. Joanna has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, with specialties in both management and marketing from Ivy Tech Community College.
Alicia West received her BS in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 2007. After being at Purdue for 6 years, she joined Purdue Online in 2017 as a Program Administrator. Her focus is overseeing the Credit Graduate and Undergraduate programs in the College of Education, Liberal Arts, Veterinary School and Agriculture.
